The position is planned for 18\nmonths with ideal start by June 2021. Funded by the Austrian Science Fund, it is a 100%\nresearch position.\nThe project deals with the development of a biocatalytic platform based on a novel\nenzymatic activity that tackles chemically stable molecules. This multidisciplinary project\nwill combine aspects and techniques of genomics, transcriptomics, molecular biology,\nbiocatalysis and organic chemistry. Focus will be directed primarily at a flavin-dependent\nenzyme.\nCandidates should hold a PhD in biocatalysis, chemistry, molecular biology,\nbiotechnology or a related discipline, and must be proficient in English (writing and oral).\nThe ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on experience with standard cloning\ntechniques and protein expression and purification.
