The World Bank Jakarta office is looking to hire 4 positions below:

1. STC – Economist with Expertise in Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations

The World Bank is looking for PhD student or postdoctoral researcher to work part-time or full-time as an Economist with Expertise in Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations (Short Term Consultant, STC). The ideal candidate would be a PhD student or postdoctoral researcher with a research focus of intergovernmental fiscal relations in developing countries. The candidate is expected to dedicate between 30 and 50 percent of her / his time to this assignment starting in April/May 2021, for at least one or two years. A full-time position based in Jakarta is also an option, if of interest. The opportunity is open for both Indonesian and foreign nationals. 2. STC – Digital government specialist

The World Bank seeks a Digital Government Specialist (Short Term Consultant, STC) to work full time at Jakarta office (with a possibility to start working remotely, given the COVID-19 situation). The desired start date is early May. Ideal candidate should have Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, Public Policy, E-Government, or other relevant fields. Main responsibility is to conduct high quality analysis and provide technical assistance in support of the World Bank’s policy advice to the Government of Indonesia (GoI) on the Digital Transformation of Public Financial Management (PFM) processes, especially at the subnational level. The STC will work on issues related to SNG revenue mobilization and decentralization. Ideal candidates should have a PhD or master’s degree and 5 years’ experience or more.
